On Friday, actor-producer Sohail Khan and his wife, designer Seema Khan, filed for divorce. The couple married in 1998 and has two children together. The couple was seen leaving the family court in Mumbai.
For a long time, the couple has been dogged by divorce rumours. Seema Khan appeared in the reality show ‘The Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives,’ where the couple was shown living apart. Seema later described their marriage as “unconventional,” adding, “I’ll just say this much, because it’s out there, that whatever you see on the show is the absolute truth.” All I have to say about it is that it is what it is.
She also addressed speculation about their marriage on the show. “It’s just that as you get older, your relationships meander and diverge in different directions.” I make no apologies because we are happy, and my children are happy. Sohail and I do not have a traditional marriage, but we do have a family. We work as a team. “At the end of the day, it’s about him and me and our children,” he said.
