Kangana Ranaut took a shot at Karan Johar and Netflix. The actress’s statement came shortly after she announced that Tiku Weds Sheru would be available on Amazon Prime Video.

After Kangana Ranaut announced that her first production, Tiku Weds Sheru, will premiere on Amazon Prime Video, the Manikarnika actress poked fun at Netflix and Karan Johar.

The actress made a reference to KJo’s recent party for Netflix Global Chief, Bela Bajaria, on her Instagram Stories. Kangana claimed that while Netflix executives were attending star-studded parties hosted by a “fading 90s director,” Amazon Prime Video executives were busy interacting with the people who created the platform’s content.

“Data suggests that Amazon Prime Video is doing far better in India than Netflix, possibly because they are far more open-minded and democratic; when international heads visit India, they don’t park themselves at a fading 90s director’s infamous party, but instead meet everyone who is contributing to them…

According to what I’ve heard, Netflix’s CEO is unable to comprehend the Indian market… Well, the Indian market isn’t just one b***hy gossipy director from the 1990s…. “There are hundreds of talented individuals here,” Kangana stated.

For the uninformed, Karan hosted a party for Bela last Sunday, which was attended by several Bollywood celebrities. Shah Rukh Khan, Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Sara Ali Khan, Kriti Sanon, Madhuri Dixit, Farhan Akhtar, and Shibani Dandekar were among the guests. Manish Malhotra, Shashank Khaitan, and Siddharth Roy Kapur are among the cast members.
