On May 3, Kannada superstar Puneeth Rajkumar will get the Basavashree award for the year 2021 from the Murugha Mutt’s Basava Kendra in Chitradurga, and Puneeth’s wife Ashwini will receive the honour from Pontiff Dr Shivamurthy Murugha Sharanaru.
In the presence of former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, District Minister BC Patil, and film actors Shivarajkumar and Raghavendra Rajkumar, the Pontiff will present the honour to Ashwini at the city’s Anubhava Mantapa.
