The Internet has been rocked by actor Dhanush’s divorce from his wife of 18 years, Aishwarya Rajnikanth. After being married for more than ten years, the pair earlier this week disclosed in a joint statement that they have filed for divorce.
The father of the actor, filmmaker “Kasthuri Raja,” reportedly disputed reports that the Star Couple was considering divorcing one another, telling a Tamil tabloid that it was simply a “family quarrel.” He added that he has been speaking with them and providing them with the necessary guidance to remedy the issue.
The pair has asked for their supporters to respect their decision and allow them privacy. The couple posted a message in which they discussed their experience together and announced their decision to separate. On Monday, they made the announcement by posting the note to their social media sites. They generated a lot of buzz among their followers once the post went viral.
“18 years of being together as friends, a couple, parents, and well-wishers to one other,” they claimed. The journey has been one of development, comprehension, adjustment, and adaptation. We are now at the point when our routes diverge. We have made the decision to end our relationship as a couple in order to better understand each other as individuals. Also, he added a few words for his followers, pleading with them to respect their choice and respect their privacy.
Aishwarya, the wife of Dhanush, is Rajnikanth’s elder brother. She does movies as well. Since their 2004 wedding, the pair has welcomed two sons, Yathra and Linga, who were born in 2006 and 2010, respectively.
They were wed for a considerable 18 years. When they first met while watching Dhanush’s movie Kadhal Kondaen, they fell in love. Soon after, the two began dating, but at the time, Dhanush rejected the reports and said that Aishwarya was simply his sister’s friend. The couple was married on November 18, 2004, following six months of courtship and family involvement. The actor was 21 and Aishwarya was 23 when they were married.
Aishwarya once mentioned in an interview that they gave each other plenty of space, which was the finest thing about their relationship. They don’t think that simply because they want to be together, they should change for the other person.
In the Kollywood industry, Dhanush is a well-known actor, director, producer, and lyricist. He has received numerous honours, including Filmfare and National Film Awards. Also, he appeared six times on the Forbes India Celebrity 100 list. The romantic psychological thriller movie 3’s song “Why This Kolaveri Di” by Dhanush became the first Indian music video to surpass 100 million views on YouTube when it became viral in 2011. He made his Bollywood debut in the Aanand L. Rai-directed movie Raanjhanaa, which had Sonam Kapoor as his co-star.
Dhanush starred in the Aanand L. Rai-directed Hindi love drama Atrangi Re. Also, he will appear alongside Chris Evan and Ryan Gosling in the Hollywood movie “The Gray Man.” Dhanush has a long history in the Tamil cinema business and is also a producer. In addition to acting, Aishwaryaa has directed two films: the black comedy “Vai Raja Vai” and the romantic thriller “3” in Tamil.
Alleged extramarital affairs of Dhanush:
There were suspicions that Dhanush was having an affair with his co-star Shruti Hasaan while the movie 3 was being filmed. Aishwarya never made her husband’s alleged extramarital affair known to the public.
In honour of her father Rajinikanth and husband Dhanush’s victories at the 67th National Film Awards, when Dhanush won the Best Actor Award and Rajinikanth received the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, Aishwaryaa wrote a poignant post about them in October.
