Actresses nowadays are frequently seen working after they have married. Our actresses no longer believe that being married has any negative impact on their careers. However, there have been a number of women who have retired from acting after marrying.

Some were even at the pinnacle of their professional careers. Take a peek at some of the Bollywood actresses who have gladly transitioned into the job of a homemaker.

#1. Sonali Bendre

Her first big break came in the film Bombay with the item song Hamma Hamma. Sonali has worked with all of Bollywood’s Khans during her film career, but as an actor, she has never come close to matching their star power. On November 12, 2002, she married Goldie Behl, a film actor-director, and departed the business. In 2003, Sonali had a cameo appearance in Kal Ho Na Ho, her first film after her marriage. She also made a cameo in Mumbaai Dobaara!, which, according to Sonali, will be the last time we see her on a 70mm screen. In 2014, she debuted on television.

#2. Saira Bano

She was the ultimate diva, capable of breaking anyone’s heart with a single glance. Saira Bano was a well-known actress who willingly retired from the spotlight to focus on her position as a wife and mother. She married her ideal guy, famed actor Dilip Kumar, when she was 22 years old in 1966. She opted not to work after their marriage because she believed Dilip Kumar’s regular travel for shoots would cause their marriage to fail. “I have no regrets about not doing too many films after my marriage,” she says.

#3. Babita

She only appeared in 19 films before leaving Bollywood for good. Babita’s famed Kapoor family was opposed to her working in Bollywood following her marriage. #4. Neetu Singh

She began her career as a kid performer before going on to star in a number of Bollywood films. Neetu Singh started dating Rishi Kapoor when she was 14 years old, and they married when she was just 21 years old. At the time, their wedding was the most lavish and eagerly anticipated event in Hollywood. Neetu left the film industry following her marriage.

“I wanted to devote my entire life to my family,” she says. With Do Dooni Chaar, she made a comeback alongside her husband, Rishi Kapoor, and their jodi was adored by all!

Namrata Shirodkar, a former Femina Miss India 1993, has appeared in films such as LOC Kargil, Astitva, and Bride and Prejudice. On the sets of their film Vamsi in 2000, she met her future husband, Mahesh Babu. She began dating him after the shoot was completed. They married in 2005 after five years of dating, and she now resides in Hyderabad with her family.

#11. Asin Thottumkal

Asin Thottumkal, the actress from Ghajini, is another name to add to this list. She met Micromax CEO Rahul Sharma in January 2016, and she had previously stated that she would not be accepting any work at this time. She is currently in the midst of married bliss and intends to stay that way for a while.

She made it clear on her official Instagram account that she will not be looking for work following her marriage. She explained, “For those of my media friends who have yet to receive the message, I have stopped accepting jobs and have completed all of my commitments, including my brand endorsements, prior to my wedding. Request that individuals refrain from making assumptions about my responsibilities and work at this time. This announcement was made before to the wedding.”

Despite the fact that these actresses departed Bollywood after marriage, the tides have finally turned for the Bollywood divas. Kareena Kapoor Khan, Vidya Balan, and Aishwarya Rai continue to work after they marry. Girl power gets a big thumbs up from us!
