Bollywood actress Richa Chadha and Tehseen Poonawalla got into a debate over the box office collection of ‘Dhhakad’. While Tehseen criticized those who mocked Kangana Ranaut over the film’s failure, she responded by adding that people are entitled to their opinions.

“The mocking of #KanganaRanaut for her movie #Dhaakad is really unfair!” Tehseen Poonawalla tweeted. We might agree or disagree with #KanganaRanaut, but it does not change the fact that she is one of today’s best performers and a risk taker. #KanganaRanaut, more power to you.”

Tehseen Poonawalla emphasised that celebrating the film’s failure is not justified: “Celebrating the failure of a movie is not good.”

“Aligning with authority is easy and has apparent perks like tax breaks, awards, special status, security—even literally the Legislature promoting a film!” Richa Chadha said to Tehseen. Do you realise, Tehseen, that the opposite is also true? People are expressing their dissatisfaction in every manner they can. “I’m very relaxed.”

He then stated that there’s no reason to be happy about any flops because they undermine the industry’s reputation. “There should be no cheering for flops because it harms the industry.” “Just because the government makes a mistake doesn’t mean we should follow suit!”

“I’m in a very relaxed mood.” Despite #KanganaRanaut’s gracious invitation, I have yet to see her film. Tehseen Poonawalla wrote, “I would fight for the cinema industry.”

“Very systematically, a narrative was developed that the film industry in Mumbai is the lair of all vice,” Richa Chadha wrote. People here are murderous, among other things. This story was created by a large group of people. As a result of that, some people are now applauding other people’s failures.”

‘Dhaakad’ opened to roughly Rs 50 lakh in box office and struggled to attract an audience over the weekend.
