Kiara Advani, Varun Dhawan, Neetu Kapoor, and Anil Kapoor are preparing to release their film JugJugg Jeeyo, which is being produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. The film is generating a lot of hype, and its songs have gone viral. On June 24, 2022, it will be released.
However, Raj Mehta’s film has run into problems ahead of its release. In Ranchi, a copyright infringement complaint has been brought against the film’s creators.
According to reports, Ranchi-based writer Vishal Singh has filed a copyright infringement complaint against Dharma Productions and Viacom 18, alleging that the parts of his film Punny Rani were used in JugJugg Jeeyo. He is said to have stated that the filmmakers did not offer him any credit.
With only four days to the film’s premiere, a commercial court in Ranchi has ordered the producers to preview the film in front of the court. In this instance, the writer has requested Rs 1.5 crore in compensation from the makers of JugJugg Jeeyo. It remains to be seen whether the court’s decision in this case will have an impact on the film’s release.
